What Claude can do on your PC
Files, search, the PowerShell and cmd terminal, processes, Word/Excel/PDF reports, a PC check and screenshots — on any connected Windows PC, by name. Copy a request and change the folders to yours.
Find every invoice PDF in Documents from this year and make an Excel table: date, supplier, amount.
Open D:\Projects\site, explain how it is built and run its tests in PowerShell.
Why is my C: drive almost full? Show the 20 biggest folders and what is safe to clean up. Don't delete anything yet.
I'm away: is my home PC online? Did new files show up in D:\Backup last night?
- Outbound connection only. No inbound ports on the PC, no admin rights.
- Recycle Bin and Undo. Simple deletes go to the Recycle Bin and a file gets a copy before it changes — “Undo AI changes” puts it back.
- Your rules. Nothing is restricted by default; when you want, add a folder list, read-only folders, confirmations on the PC, or turn the terminal off.
- Contents not stored. Files and command output pass through the server and are not saved; TLS in transit (not end-to-end).

Questions
Is it the same account as for ChatGPT?
Yes. Sign in with the same Bridgerator account and Claude sees the same computers. Tool calls count the same in every app: 10,000 a month per account on Free.
Where do I sign in — Claude or Bridgerator?
In Bridgerator. Claude opens our sign-in page and gets access to Bridgerator only, not to your Google account.
Can I use it from my phone?
Yes: a connector added on the web or in Claude Desktop also works in the Claude mobile app. The PC has to be on.
Do I need to put an MCP server into the Claude Desktop config file?
No. Bridgerator is a remote MCP server: you add it as a custom connector, no config file needed. Local MCP servers from the Claude Desktop config file are a separate option and work only on that same PC.
Is my PC open to the internet?
No. The bridge on the PC connects out to the Bridgerator server (outbound only): no inbound ports are opened, and you need no public IP and no admin rights.
